Steve McLoon

will give the presentation at the January meeting and he will focus on turning hollow forms. He plans to show some hollow form designs, to introduce some of the main tools used in hollowing, and to demonstrate the key steps in turning the hollow form shown in the photo below. 

Steve makes art, crafts and furniture in wood and he started his woodworking career after attending woodworking school in Maine. His studio is in the Casket Arts building in NE Minneapolis and he divides his studio time between turning and furniture making. Steve strives to celebrate the awesome characteristics of natural wood in his work and enjoys working closely with his clients.
