Crafting a Native American Style Flute
Want to make something very interactive? Something that you can play with, not just admire? Try making a flute with me. I will walk you through the design, turning and tuning of a native American Style Flute. You will also learn about other flutes, some history of flutes and the physics of sound.
This is not a hard project to complete. Your skill set should have a basic understanding of using a roughing gouge  or skew to spindle turn a long rectangular blank to a cylinder.  Secondly, you should know how to turn a tenon.
The class should last about 3 hours
There is a $10 material fee payable to instructor.
