Textured Sphere
Michael will demonstrate his burn texturing technique to give the sphere a unique surface. What he makes and use are basically branding irons, not your typical burning pens. These branding irons are used sometimes in patterns but more often in a random if not chaotic fashion. Some of the branding irons are used in such a way as to create fossils, insects, or other recognizable designs. Some textures will be burnt in with friction. I use cup burs to create a bumpy surface (think lizard skin).
Materials: Please bring the burning units and tips you have.
Please bring a couple of turned unfinished spheres (if unable to bring one Michael will have some available at $25 each)
