Demonstrator: Pro Turner from Salida Colorado. Keith Gotchall, three legged stool.
This is designed as a spindle demonstration on how to turn repeatable beads and coves on the legs. The seat is turned in bowl orientation and demonstrates how to turn flat plane and edge sculpting. How to accurately drill angled holes for legs to be inserted in the seat.
This month we have a professional wooodturner visiting us for a demonstration. Again this will be a free demonstration for MWA Members, $25 for non members.
Again were changing things a little it's been noted that the all day demos go beyond anyone's ability to sit for that long. This demonstration will not be an all day demo. It will be morning only.
After the meeting/Demo There will be a break for lunch and a hands on class in the afternoon.
To sign up for either the Friday afternoon class or the Saturday afternoon classes go to that event on the website calendar to pay and register. As Tim Heil referred to in the December meeting demo: Watching demos is great for understanding how to, and for inspiration. The real learning is by doing hands on turning.
This months sharpening class will be held on Saturday April 20th
