Ready to try something new in your turning? Come and learn to make a platter.

Students will be making an 11” platter while learning and using a variety cuts. Dick and Dan will also show you the basics of lathe operation, safety, as well as the selection and preparation of wood for turning a platter.

Suggested tools 1/2" and 5/8” Bowl Gouge, Square End Scraper, Skew, 6” Ruler
