Basic Bowl Class with Dave Blume
DATE: Saturday February 8th, 2025
TIME: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
We will be exploring wood selection for a bowl / preparing and mounting the blank on the lathe / shaping techniques for the inside and outside of the bowl using a traditional bowl gouge. We will touch on sharpening and finishing. So if you are new to woodturning or just want a refresher on bowl making, this is the class for you.
Dave will be supplying the bowl blanks ($10 material fee payable to instructor) so bring your bowl gouge (if you have one....if you don't, we can supply you with one), a parting tool and possibly a detail gouge and round nose scraper or negative rack scraper but don't worry about all the tools there will be tools available to try out.
