Bowl Class basic and intermediate, Instructor Bob Meyer January 

Whether you have or have not turned a bowl before this class is appropriate for you.

Bowl turning is a process, Each time you take a class you will learn more about refining your cut, making a clean cut, tool sharpening, refining your bowl shape. 

Location: Houck Machine Company 12811 16th Ave N Plymouth MN 55441

Start time 9am  This is up to a 6 hour class.

Tools: You will learn to use a 3/8, 1/2 or 5/8" bowl gouge, parting tool, bandsaw, and how to use a round nose scraper without catching. Bring your tools, task specific sharpening instruction is included in all classes.

Options if you have them would be a negative rake scraper.

Wood: A blank will be provided.If you are bringing your own blank for turning remember that green wood is easier to turn than is dried wood. 10" max diameter  4 to 6 " deep is appropriate. 

If you wish to bring a lunch a refrigerator is available. Beverages are provided.
