Usenet Newsgroups

Folks that are not using the Usenet are missing out on a lot of information. This is much like a chat group, but not instantaneous. It is a great place to lurk and you can see about anything you want to see there.

REC.CRAFTS.WOODTURNING

This newsgroup is on-line, but has been slow in developing. If you can't get it, you may have to call your ISP to have them add it to their collection.

REC.CRAFTS.CARVING

This group has a good bit of traffic on many types of carving. Sometimes has some information that you wouldn't have thought about asking for.

REC.WOODWORKING

An old, established group that has a huge number of posts. It is mostly prattle by people with time to kill, but there is enough good stuff to keep me going back. For this group, it is good to know how to get rid of posts fast since there can be >500 posts every few days.
